ONE LOVE Devotional Chant: Videos

New Videos from Kripalu!

This first video is fresh from our recent chanting event at Kripalu Yoga Center in Lenox, MA on August 31.  Here, we play a new high-energy version of the Maha (or 'Great') Mantra, one of the oldest and most sacred mantras in the Hindu tradition.  We are joined by our good friend and producer, Charlie Shew on Bass.  Enjoy!

In this next video, we play an opening chant to Ganesha, the Hindu Lord of New Beginnings and the removal of obstacles. We are again joined by our friend Charlie Shew on Bass. Enjoy!

Sampler Video

Here is our Sampler video, recorded live in HD at a concert in late 2010 in Harrisburg, PA!

Earlier Videos

These videos are from our event at Kripalu Yoga Center in Lenox, MA on November 3, 2010.  The first high-energy chant, 'Sita Ram,' is a call-and-response Kirtan from the Hindu tradition.  The Sanskrit lyrics honor the Divine in its masculine and feminine forms.  Music is by Jody Kessler.  The videos feature our good friend and producer Charlie Shew on bass and percussion.

Next, 'Espiritu de Dios' is a Catholic chant from Guatemala.  The traditional tune's lyrics are translated as "Spirit of God, fill my life, fill my soul with your Power, and fill me up with your Presence, your Power, and your Truth."

And finally, here is an earlier video from a prior event featuring friend of the band Kristin Sharkey on vocals and percussion.  The Beauty Chant, also by Jody Kessler, is based on a Navajo (Native American) prayer. Here, 'Beauty' refers not just to physical beauty, but to the presence of Spirit that surrounds us.  Enjoy!
